Michael Price is the founder of Quantum Politics. Advanced communications strategies have been at the center of his work for over a decade. As Press Secretary and Campaign Manager for now DC Council Chairman Kwame R. Brown, Michael led proactive communications campaigns that set the tone for public relations in District government. Under his management, the Chairman’s website became an interactive community hub, and Chairman Brown became the most followed elected official on Twitter in the District. He was also listed among the five most influential Twitter users in DC by WeFollow.com.

During the 2006 Congressional cycle Michael worked as National Field & Training Director for Communities United to Strengthen America. CU had offices in 12 bellwether Congressional districts including New Mexico, Colorado, Texas, Iowa, Indiana, Pennsylvania and Connecticut. The organization empowered the middle-class by combining the three forces of Research, Communications and Field. As National Field & Training Director, Michael traveled across the country training CU staff in specialized campaign tactics, communications and targeting. Drawing from a database of over 7 million voters, he developed the GOOV (Get-Out-Our-Vote) strategy, which led to an average turnout rate of 85% for CU’s targeted voters.

The Price Family

Before moving to Washington, DC Michael worked in New York for five years, concentrating on statewide, federal, Assembly and mayoral campaigns. His career started with the New York State Democratic Assembly Campaign Committee (DACC) running campaigns and developing communication strategies in marginal districts in Western New York. At DACC he developed and executed comprehensive campaign plans with budgets that included commercial development and production, earned media events, direct mail, field and volunteer management.

He also worked for the Democratic National Committee in partnership with the NYS Democratic Committee from 2005-2006 as a Regional Director. There he helped lay the groundwork for an unprecedented all volunteer program called the Neighborhood Network, which helped reelect former Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton. During that time he was also asked to create a targeting and GOOV strategy, which led to the election of Mayor Matt Driscoll in the narrowest mayoral election in Syracuse, NY in 80 years.

Michael lives with his wife Jennifer and daughter Layla in Parker, Colorado.
